I am 17 and my girlfriend is 16.
We have been together for just over 2 years now.
We both really want to have a baby, because we love babies and children.
We both have jobs and she plans on moving into my apartment with me.
I was just hoping you could give me any advice, personal teen pregnancy stories, and the pros and cons of having a baby as a teen.
We both know that it will be a challenge, but we want it more than anything.
We are still unsure about having a child, so any opinions would be great.
I’m not saying that I feel you two shouldn’t have a family one day, but I am saying that maybe you all should wait a few years. Honestly, these are the years you both should be enjoying or spending on education. Life goes way to fast I know, but trust me, you’ll have plenty of time if it’s truely meant to be. Children totally transforms you life, not that it’s a bad thing, but I remember when I was your age. I got married and we had 2 children, seems like yesterday and now I’m 35 and I sit and wonder where my 20’s went, it flew by me so fast. It’s just unbelieveable how fast times goes once you have a family of your own. You have time, wait a few more years. Take time to smell the fresh cut grass and have quiet moments of planning your futures together. Don’t ever make a lay out plan though, nothing ever hardly goes as planned, lol, seriously though. Wait until she’s at least out of school, like around 19 or 20 before you all make such a decision.
