What do you think of my pick-up idea for this girl at a grocery store?
I just saw this beautiful girl in the grocery store just now. We made eye contact about 2-3 times. I’ve never tried to pick-up a girl before, and I’m not a creep. I’m a normal 20 year-old athletic guy. She looked about 20 too.
So I walk up to her and say:
"Hi, I don’t normally do this, but thing is, I have an extra ticket to go see coldplay tomorrow and I would love for you to join me there. If you don’t want to come, no worries. But if you do, I’d really like that."
So nice nice? Should I go back and see if she’s still there? haha

As a girl, I love it. Guys never seem to just be up front, and I love that you didn’t use some lame overused pick up line. You gave her an out, so she doesn’t feel too pressured and you offered her a ticket to coldplay. Who doesn’t like coldplay? Whether she says yes or no, I think you did well.

far too "im insecure about myself"-ish and i dislike coldplay to put it kindly and that in my book takes away the rest of your performance by curb stomping it, but id say not bad were it not for the whole coldplay thing,
they wouldnt be bad if i hadnt heard viva la vida so many times, we payed good $ for satelite radio and they play that cr4p 400 times a freakin day (i apologize for my rant)

I mean no harmful infringement upon your game, good sir, but I would deny you that pleasure, for the simple fact that I haven’t the slightest clue who you are. "Hi I don’t normally do this" immediately makes me think you’ve done it tons of times, and "if you don’t want to come, no worries" sounds a bit defeatist, especially being your second sentence.
On another note, what if she’s a dollymop? A trollop? One prone to fiddle faddle? Do you really wish to forgo finding out if you’re taking an already taken woman to a choice musical event simply because she would look fabulous doing so?
I critically advise you to skip the sweeping of feet for a more conversational route.
